Wheel Alignments are important to the handling of your car; they also improve fuel economy and extend tyre life. We adjust all four wheels so they are parallel to each other. The results: Improved Driver Safety, Improved Handling, Increased Fuel Efficiency, Extended Suspension Life, Minimized Tyre Wear, Improved Steering.
All front-wheel drive cars have Constant Velocity joints, or CV joints, on both ends of the drive shafts (half shafts). Inner CV joints connect the drive shafts to the transmission, while the outer CV joints connect the drive shafts to the drive wheels. A common problem with the CV joints is when the protective boot gets damaged. The grease comes out and the moisture and dirt can come in, causing the CV joint to wear faster and eventually fail. If a damaged CV joint boot caught early, simply replacing the boot and repacking the CV joint with fresh grease is all that is usually needed to fix the problem.
Cambelt / Timing belt is situated in the front or side of your engine behind the plastic cambelt covers. This belt has been designed to reduce friction and generate more horse-power than previous component called the Timing Chain. This belt should be changed every 100,000kms or 5 years, whatever comes first. In some engines there are 2 belts, a cambelt/timing belt or a balance belt – if you are unsure contact us with your make and model and we can advise you.
